Consider the following scenario:
You use Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009 to connect to the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) Secure IP Network (SIPN) for file transfers.
You create a send port, and select FileAct adapter as the transport type.
In the FileAct Transport Properties dialog box, you set the Service Name field to "eba.step2!pu1."
In this scenario, the configuration is not accepted. You receive an error message that resembles the following:
Service Name Format is Incorrect
In BizTalk Server 2009, you can only set "swift.generic.fa!p" as the service name for the FileAct adapter when you connect to the SWIFT SIPN. However, in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2, "eba.step2!pu1" is also an accepted service name for the FileAct adapter.
Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009 supports Bulk Payment that has bulk payment service that is defined by the format <authority>.bulkp.[<name>.]<service-mode>[!<environment>]. The service name “eba.step2!pu1” does not comply with this format. Therefore this problem occurs.
After you apply this hotfix, BizTalk enables backward compatibility support for service names that are not compliant with the bulk payment rule.
