Symptoms
You have an update server that is running Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2. You perform an image update on a device that is hosted on the update server. . However, the response of the update server does not provide the information about the updates that are installed on the update server.

For example, you perform an image update on a Microsoft RoundTable device that is hosted on an Office Communications Server 2007 R2 update server. You perform a factory reset on the RoundTable device, and then you perform an image update. In this case, the following device request message is sent to the update server:

<Request><DeviceType>RoundTable</DeviceType><DeviceName>RTManageConfigFile</DeviceName><MacAddress>00-0D-3A-3D-64-2A</MacAddress><IP>172.24.40.61</IP><SerialNumber>78491-322-0004782-00709</SerialNumber><NumOfFiles>0</NumOfFiles><LocaleID>en-us</LocaleID><Vendor>Microsoft</Vendor><Model>RTD001</Model><CurrentTime>2009-03-14T00:40:50</CurrentTime><Revision>RevA</Revision></Request>
In response to the device request, the update server returns the following message:
<?xml version="1.0" ?>   <Response>  <NumOfFiles>0</NumOfFiles>   <CurrentTime>2009-03-18T14:24:29</CurrentTime>
Cause

More information
In the example in the "Symptoms" section, you expect the device request message to resemble the following:

<Request><DeviceType>UCVideo</DeviceType><DeviceName>78491-322-0005673-00710</DeviceName><MacAddress>00-0D-3A-3D-64-E4</MacAddress><IP>172.24.42.60</IP><SerialNumber>78491-322-0005673-00710</SerialNumber><NumOfFiles>5</NumOfFiles><LocaleID>en-us</LocaleID><Vendor>Polycom</Vendor><Model>CX5000</Model><CurrentTime>2009-0722T19:10:55</CurrentTime><Revision>A</Revision><CurrentModule><FileName>\CPUEBOOT.BIN</FileName><FileVersion><Major>1</Major><Minor>1</Minor><Build>4037</Build><QFE>0</QFE><TimeStamp>2009-07-21T19:38:42</TimeStamp></FileVersion></CurrentModule><CurrentModule><FileName>\NK.BIN</FileName><FileVersion><Major>1</Major><Minor>0</Minor><Build>4041</Build><QFE>0</QFE><TimeStamp>2009-0717T23:10:24</TimeStamp></FileVersion></CurrentModule><CurrentModule><FileName>\RTCONFIG.XML</FileName><FileVersion><Major>0</Major><Minor>0</Minor><Build>0</Build><QFE>0</QFE><TimeStamp>2009-0721T23:03:58</TimeStamp></FileVersion></CurrentModule><CurrentModule><FileName>\NK.CAT</FileName><FileVersion><Major>0</Major><Minor>0</Minor><Build>0</Build><QFE>0</QFE><TimeStamp>2009-07-17T21:48:54</TimeStamp></FileVersion></CurrentModule><CurrentModule><FileName>\CPUEBOOT.CAT</FileName><FileVersion><Major>0</Major><Minor>0</Minor><Build>0</Build><QFE>0</QFE><TimeStamp>2009-07-17T21:48:44</TimeStamp></FileVersion></CurrentModule></Request>

After the update server receives this message, the update server should return the following message:
