On a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2, you generate a Microsoft Multipath I/O (MPIO) configuration report by using the graphical user interface (GUI) or by running the MPCLAIM –v command. However, some the text in the report is not readable.
This issue occurs when you try to generate the MPIO configuration report on a computer that uses a multibyte character set.
To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.
Temporarily change the current character set of the computer to a non-multibyte character set, such as English.
Instead of saving the actual configuration report, configuration information can be displayed on a per-disk basis by running the following command:
MPCLAIM –s –d disknumber
You can also use this workaround to capture the configuration on a per-disk basis to a text file. To do this, run the following command:
MPCLAIM –s –d disknumber > C:\filename.txt
