FIX: Error message when you run the case for which the Test Name is StretchBlt and the Test ID is 218 on a Windows CE Embedded 6.0 run-time image that supports CETK: "FAIL: Driver verification mismatch detected"

Consider the following scenario:
  • You install one of the following updates:
    • Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Monthly Update (August 2008)
    • Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Platform Builder - Cumulative Product Update Rollup Package (through 12/31/2008)
  • You build a Windows CE Embedded 6.0 run-time image that supports Windows Embedded CE Test Kit (CETK).
  • You download the image to a device.
  • You run the case for which the Test Name is StretchBlt and the Test ID is 218 on the device.
In this scenario, some sub-tests fail and you receive the following error message:
FAIL: Driver verification mismatch detected.

Software update information

A supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows CE 6.0 Platform Builder Monthly Update (August 2009). You can confirm this by scrolling to the "File information" section of this article. The package file name contains the product version, date, Knowledge Base article number, and processor type. The package file name format is:

This update is supported only if all previously issued updates for this product are installed.

Restart requirement

After you apply this software update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:
  • On the Build menu, click Clean, and then click Build Platform.
  • On the Build menu, click Rebuild Platform.
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.
