Description of the PowerPoint 2007 hotfix package (Oart-x-none.msp, Oartconv-x-none.msp): October 27, 2009

This article describes the Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated October 27, 2009.

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • A memory leak occurs when charts are redrawn in Microsoft Office Excel 2007 Service Pack 2.

  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You use Paste Special in a Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 presentation to paste a Microsoft Office Excel 2007 chart as a Picture (Windows Metafile) picture or as a Picture (Enhanced Metafile) picture.
    • You specify an animation for the pasted picture.
    • You view the picture in the Slide Show view.
In this scenario, the text in the picture is displayed as bold but in a low resolution. Therefore, the characters are flawed and incompletely resolved.

  • You install 2007 Microsoft Office suite Service Pack 2 on your computer. When you delete the first horizontal (x) axis label in an Excel 2007 workbook, all the other x-axis labels in the workbook are also removed.

  • You click to select the Document structure tags for accessibility option when you save a PowerPoint 2007 presentation that contains Korean characters. You save the presentation as a .pdf file. However, when you view the .pdf file, the spaces between characters are missing.
