Consider the following scenario in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009:
You install Microsoft Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (UDDI) Services 3.0 that is included with Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009.
After the installation is complete, you run the Microsoft UDDI Services Configuration utility to configure Microsoft UDDI Services.

You specify the database server name to a named instance of SQL Server.
In this scenario, the configuration fails. You receive an error message that resembles the following:
Unable to connect to the Database Server
This problem occurs because of an error in the Microsoft UDDI Services Configuration utility.
Cumulative update information
For BizTalk Server 2009 UDDI Services, the hotfix that resolves this issue is included in Cumulative Update 1 for BizTalk Server 2009 UDDI Services.

Hotfix replacement information

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
