On a computer that is running Windows Vista, audio skips in Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 during Communicator calls or during Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) calls.
To resolve this issue, apply the following update:

To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.
Method 1 Disable the automatic start of Office Communicator 2007 R2 when Windows starts. Then, 60 seconds after Windows starts, manually start Office Communicator 2007 R2.
Method 2 60 seconds after Windows starts, close and then re-start Office Communicator 2007 R2.
