After you upgrade from Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 to Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009, the DTA Purge and Archive SQL Server Agent job stops purging old data from the BizTalk Tracking database (BizTalkDTADb). When you view the job history in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, you find an error message that resembles the following:
Because the job stops purging old data, the BizTalkDTADb database grows very large after BizTalk Server has been running for some time. Therefore, BizTalk Server 2009 may perform slower than expected.
Executed as user: <username>. Invalid object name 'EdiMessageContent'. [SQLSTATE 42S02] (Error 208). The step failed.
This issue occurs because the EdiMessageContent table is not created after you upgrade from BizTalk Server 2006 to BizTalk Server 2009.
Cumulative updated informationFor BizTalk Server 2009, the hotfix that resolves this issue is included in Cumulative Update 1 for BizTalk Server 2009.
