Error message when you try to use a push operation to install System Center Configuration Manager 2007: "Error 5: Access is denied"

When you try to install Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 on a remote computer by using a Push Installation Account, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:
Error 5: Access is denied

This issue occurs even though the remote computer is offline.
When a remote computer is not reachable, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 returns an Error 53 message. An Error 53 message indicates that the network path was not found.

In this case, the information that is described in the "Symptoms" section may incorrectly contain a Message ID 3014 return code. However, the Ccm.log file contains the correct Message ID 3015 return code.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
