You cancel the Configuration Wizard when you upgrade from Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 to Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010. Then, you try to uninstall SharePoint Foundation 2010. However, the uninstall fails and you receive the following error message:

To work around this problem, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Web Server Extensions\14.0\Secure\ConfigDB
Right-click the Dsn registry entry, click Delete, and then click Yes.
Uninstall SharePoint Foundation 2010.
If you want to use the original Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 farm, restore the farm from a backup file.
