Records remain in the MSSCrawlChangedSourceDocs table after you perform a content source crawl using Business Data Catalog (BDC) in SharePoint Server 2007

SYMPTOMS
You crawl some content using a Business Data Catalog (BDC) in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. However, the records remain in the MSSCrawlChangedSourceDocs table. Additionally, the records remain in the table until you reset the index.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, apply both of the following hotfix packages:
  • 977022 Description of the Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Cumulative Update Server hotfix package (Sts-x-none.msp): December 15, 2009
  • 977023 Description of the Office SharePoint Server 2007 Cumulative Update Server hotfix package (Coreserver-x-none.msp): December 15, 2009
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
