978389 Description of the Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Cumulative Update server hotfix package (Sts-x-none.msp): February 23, 2010
MORE INFORMATION
A .mht file is typically a MIME document that contains multipart or mixed content-type. The first or the main part of the file is HTML and the other parts support images or cascading style sheets. However, a .mht file can have a part that uses a multipart content-type that is defined in itself. This behavior confuses the built-in MHTML parser.

This hotfix lets a pluggable parser to override the existing built-in MHTML parser. Therefore, you can replace the existing parser with a no-operation (no-op) parser.
