The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service (store.exe) stops responding during a Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) backup on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 server. Additionally, you find the following error message is logged in Application logs:

MSExchangeIS (<xxxx>) <storage group name> : The file <log file name> is missing and could not be backed-up.
To resolve this problem, install the following update rollup:
