You access a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 mailbox by using a MAPI application, such as MFCMAPI. In this situation, the corresponding calls fail and the RpcClientAccess process on the Exchange server crashes when the Exchange Server 2010 mailbox is located on a recovery database. Additionally, you find the following error message in the Application event log:

Source: MSExchange Common
Event ID: 4999
Task Category: General
Level: Error
Watson report about to be sent for process id: <process ID>, with parameters: E12, <build type>, <application Version>, M.E.RpcClientAccess.Service, M.E.RpcClientAccess.Handler, M.E.R.H.RopHandler.FindLocalRecoveryDatabase, System.NullReferenceException, <callstackHash>, <assembly version>.
