Issue that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you add root drives and Web sites to trusted locations, you receive the following error message:
The path you have entered is not a valid location or cannot be used as a Trusted Location for Security reasons.
  • You export a multipage Office file in which each page has a different dots per inch (DPI) setting. However, the DPI setting of the first page is used for all the pages.
  • When you export Windows Metafile Format (WMF) files to a PDF file, the WMF files are displayed incorrectly if the files have Enhanced Metafile Format (EMF) embedded.
  • You open an e-mail message that contains an embedded image that is added from a Web site. This causes the Temporary Internet Files folder to create a temporary file that has a .com file name extension.
  • When you save a file to an approved HTTP location on a computer that is running Windows Vista or a later version of Windows, you receive the following error message:
This location has been blocked by your system Administrator.
Note This issue occurs if the Restricted Browsing Group Policy setting is enabled.
  • Translation ScreenTip does not work when you set English (UK) as the default language.
  • Version 4 (12.0.6500.5000) of the FileFormatConverters.exe file does not work with Windows 2000.
  • You cannot open an Office document if the forms-based authentication (FBA) logon URL exceeds 256 characters.
  • When you open a Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 form that contains digitally signed data, Office InfoPath 2007 reports that the digital signatures are invalid. This problem occurs when the digital certificate that was used to sign the data is expired or revoked. However, the certificate was valid when the data was signed.
