Issue that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you level fixed duration tasks by using a nonstandard project calendar, the work values and the duration valuesare increased unexpectedly.
  • When you merge data from an Excel workbook to a Project 2007 file, a task is overwritten and you lose this data.
  • When you save a Project file to the XML file format, the values in that XML file do not have a period (.) as the XML decimal symbol. Instead, Project 2007 uses the regional settings to verify the symbol.
  • Consider this scenario. You add many blank rows between tasks inside your project. Then you save the results to the Project Server. In this scenario, when you reopen your project later, the blank rows may appear in different areas of the project instead of the location where you positioned them.
  • You can save sub projects in a master project even when the required custom fields remain blank.
  • When you import and you append tasks from a tab-delimited file, the following fields are not preserved: Constraint Type, Constraint Date, Actual Start, and Actual Finish.
  • Baseline Work values do not match Work values after you clear and you re-create the baseline.
  • Occasionally, when you sync actual work for a task on a Project Server that has the Restrict updates to Project Web Access option enabled, the start date of the task unexpectedly shifts back to a date in 1984.
  • When you save projects to Project Server by using Project 2007, you receive the following error message:
An unexpected error occurred during command execution.

Note This error can occur after you install the following hotfix package:

  • After you save, colse, and then reopen a project from Project Server 2007, milestone tasks with some assignments become regular tasks.
