The SMS Agent Host service crashes on a System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 client computer if you connect the client to a network that has the NAP feature enabled

Consider the following scenario:
  • You install System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2) client on a computer.
  • You connect the computer to a network that has the Network Access Protection (NAP) feature enabled.
  • IP version 6 (IPv6) is configured on one or more fix-up servers.
In this scenario, the Systems Management Server (SMS) Agent Host service on the computer crashes occasionally.

When this problem occurs, the following event is logged in the Application log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Application Error
Event Category: (100)
Event ID: 1000
Faulting application CcmExec.exe, version <version number>, faulting module <module name>, version <version>, fault address <memory address>.
