A long time is required to apply a change to the properties of a direct membership collection in System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2
This article has been archived. It is offered "as is" and will no longer be updated.
Consider the following scenario:
- You have a direct membership collection that contains lots of members on a System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2) site server. For example, the direct membership collection contains several thousand members.
- In the Configuration Manager console, you change one of the attributes in the properties dialog box of the direct membership collection. For example, you change the Comment field.
- You click Apply or OK to apply the change.
If you monitor the CPU usage on the site server, you find that the CPU usage is high when the change is applied.
