The duplicate detection rule does not work when you convert a lead to an account in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0

SYMPTOMS
When you convert a lead to an account in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, the duplicate detection rule does not work. Therefore, duplicate accounts can be created unexpectedly if the lead is converted to an account that has the same account name, city and state as another existing account.
RESOLUTION
This problem is fixed in the latest cumulative update rollup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0.
