Add, edit, delete, and complete tasks

In Teams for your personal life, you can add tasks for yourself or others, edit tasks you or your friends have added, or complete tasks.

To add a task to a task list:

  1. Select More  More options button , then select the Tasks tab.

  2. Go to the list where you want to add a task.

  3. Enter your task in the Add a task field.

  4. Select the check box when you’ve entered your task.

  5. Repeat the process for any additional tasks.

  6. Select the Back arrow  Teams android back icon  when you’re finished entering tasks.

To edit a task in a task list:

  1. Select More  More options button , then select the Tasks tab.

  2. Go to the list where you want to edit a task.

  3. Select the task you want to edit. You can:
     

    Add people button

    Assign the task to a group member.

    Teams add event icon

    Add a Due date to the task.

    Mark as important button

    Use the slider to mark the task as Important.

    Meeting notes button

    Add Notes to the task.

    Teams help list icon

    Add a checklist item.

    Delete button

    Delete the task.

To delete a task in a task list:

  1. Go to the list where you want to delete a task.

  2. Select the task you want to delete.

  3. Select Delete  Delete button .

  4. Confirm you want to delete the task.

To complete a task in a task list:

  1. Go to the list where you want to complete the task.

  2. Select the radio button next to the task to complete it.

  3. You can also unselect the radio button to unmark the task.

  3. Select the task you want to edit. You can:

  1. Go to the list where you want to complete the task.
