Copy cell formatting

Copy cell formatting

  1. Select the cell with the formatting you want to copy.

  2. Select HomeFormat Painter.

  3. Drag to select the cell or range you want to apply the formatting to.

  4. Release the mouse button and the formatting should now be applied.

Tip: You can also copy cell formatting by pointing your mouse at the edge of a selected cell whose format you want to copy, holding down the right mouse button, dragging to the cell or range you want to format, releasing the mouse button, and selecting Copy here as formats only from the context menu that appears. If you're using a single-button mouse or trackpad, on a Mac, you can use Control+click instead of the right-mouse button to drag.
