How do I change my password in GroupMe?

Important: If you sign in to GroupMe using your Microsoft account, you need to change your password in your Microsoft account. If you sign in to GroupMe with your Apple ID, you will need to change your Apple password. If you sign in to GroupMe with Facebook, you will need to change your Facebook password.

To change your GroupMe password, follow these steps.

  1. Open your GroupMe app. You may need to log in.

  2. Click your avatar, then click Change password.

  3. Type your current password, then type a new password. It must contain at least 8 characters.

  4. Type your new password again to confirm the change.

  5. Click Save.

    Note: On iPad, if you don't have the Open Navigation  More button menu, select Chat at the top of the screen.
