ISSUE

Outlook Today and Folder Home Pages are being deprecated following the Windows deprecation of the MSHTML (Trident) engine.

The Outlook Today feature is described here: Make Outlook Today your default page

Folder Home Pages were restricted starting with the guidance in the following topic: Outlook Home Page feature is missing in folder properties.

STATUS

The Outlook Team is currently planning the following timeline for the deprecation and short-term re-enablement options for those that need it.

August 2026

The feature will be deprecated starting in August 2026 with Version 2608. Ahead of that time we will update this topic with a new registry key and a Trident check information that will keep the feature enabled for those that are using it. The new registry key is in addition to those already documented: Outlook Home Page feature is missing in folder properties.

August 2027

The feature will be permanently disabled starting with Version 2708. Folder Home Pages and Outlook Today will not work anymore.
