Show channel info in Teams

To see key channel details at a glance, select Channel info button in the upper-right corner. A pane will open to the right of the channel where you’ll find info including a channel description, member list, and recent contributors. To close the pane, select Channel info button again.

This is a roll call of recent contributors, members, or a combination of both. To see a complete member list, select See all members or See full list at the bottom.

Note: A private channel shows only the list of people in that channel, not everyone on the team.

Tip: To add a new member, select Add members Add people to team button in the upper-right corner of the pane. If you add a member while in a private channel, you add that person to the channel but not the team.

If a channel owner provided a channel description, it’ll appear here. For example, "Discuss design projects".

This shows recent team and channel updates, such as the addition of new members. If an update includes a drop-down arrow, select it to see more entries from the contributor.

To see all recent updates from the past 12 months, select Updates.
