Teams for Education is not working

If you're having trouble with your Teams for Education app, try these troubleshooting tips to get unstuck and fix the problem.

Step one: Check with your IT Admin

Many Teams for Education policies and permissions are set by your IT Admin. They may be able to make changes, verify, or grant you access to these common tasks:

  • Creating meeting attendance reports

  • Granting permission to create class teams

  • Restoring deleted class teams

  • Performing updates to Teams

  • Managing licenses

Step two: Restart Teams

If you're using Teams on a desktop or mobile device, close your Teams app and then re-open it. If you're on the web, trying reloading the webpage.

Step three:  Try using Teams on another platform

Teams is available as a mobile, desktop, and web app. If you're using teams on your desktop or mobile device, try navigating to https://teams.microsoft.com and accessing Teams on your web browser. You may need to sign in again to your Teams account.

Step four: Uninstall and reinstall Teams

If steps one through three are not successful, uninstall and reinstall Teams for your desktop or mobile device.
