Turn on weekly emails for parents and guardians

Microsoft Teams for Education can help you keep parents and guardians in the loop on their student's work. Turn on parent/guardian emails to enable a weekly assignment summary for each student in your class.

Important: 

  • Your IT Administrator must enable this feature for your school and district before you can turn it on or off. Read more IT Admin instructions.

  • If your IT Administrator has already turned on weekly emails, your settings may default to "on." Read the directions below to find out how to adjust the setting for your classes.

A Weekly Assignment Summary

  1. To turn on parent/guardian emails, navigate to a class team, then select More options  More options button > Manage team.

  2.  Select Settings and expand Parent/guardian emails in the list.

  3.  Select the checkbox to enable weekly emails to parents and guardians. 

    Select the checkbox to turn on parent/guardian emails.

    To turn off weekly emails for this class, return to Settings and de-select the checkbox.
