View resource workloads and availability in Project desktop
From the Project Online Project Center, click Resources in the left side menu. Select the resource or resources whose availability information you want to view by selecting the check box next to their name and then in the Resources tab, click Capacity Planning in the Navigate section.

Remove or replace a resource assignment - Microsoft Support
Removing a resource assignment will remove the resource's obligations to work on a particular tasks or set of tasks, but the resource can still exist in the project. Tip: To remove a resource from a project, on the View tab, choose Resource Sheet. Select the resource, and then press the DELETE key.

Distribute project work evenly (level resource assignments)
You can modify leveling to help you fine-tune how Project determines which tasks are leveled, and to what extent. On the Resources tab, in the Level group, choose Leveling Options. In the Resource Leveling dialog box, under Leveling calculations, select how you want leveling to occur.
