To add an email for follow-up in Microsoft To Do, just drag it to the navigation pane and release over the Outlook Tasks icon. Then, a new task containing the content of your email will be created in Outlook Tasks. Since Microsoft To Do automatically syncs with Outlook, it will also show up as a task in Microsoft To Do.
