Question:

How can I add the Customer ID note from the Sales Transaction Entry window ( Transactions - Sales - Sales Transaction Entry ) to the SOP Blank Picking Ticket report?

Answer:

The SOP Blank Picking Ticket report can be modified in Report Writer to add the Customer ID note from Sales Transaction Entry . Follow the steps below:

Table Relationships:

1.

In Report Writer ( Tools - Customize - Report Writer ), choose the Tables button on the toolbar and select RM_Customer_MSTR . Then choose Relationships .

2.

Choose New .

3.

For the Secondary table , select the Record Notes Master . Select Key 1 as the Secondary Table Key .

4.

Match note index from the Primary Table with note index from the Secondary Table using the drop-down button.

5.

Close all windows and save any changes until you're back to the main Report Writer window.

Opening the Report:

1.

Choose the Reports button.

2.

Find the SOP Blank Picking Ticket report in the Original Reports column and Insert it into the Modified Reports column.

3.

Choose Open.

4.

Choose the Table button on the Report Definition window.

5.

Highlight the Customer Master Address file and choose New .

6.

Choose RM Customer MSTR .

7.

Highlight RM Customer MSTR and choose New .

8.

Select Record Notes Master .

9.

Close the window and click on Layout .

Layout:

1.

In the Layout, add the Text Field from the Record Notes Master into the PH & RH sections of the report. If you want the note in another section of the report, such as an additional header, it may not print correctly or take up too much space, so you may want to test before printing actual invoices.

2.

Choose the X button from the top right corner of the Report Layout window.

3.

Save your changes.

4.

Choose OK in the Report Definition window.

Exiting Report Writer:

1.

From the top menu bar, choose File - Great Plains Dynamics or eEnterprise .

2.

Give users access to the modified report in the Security Setup window ( Set up - System - Security ).
