ISSUE

When you try to open a file in Excel, the file doesn't open but the Excel application does.

This can happen if the Show the Start screen when this application starts option is unchecked in Excel.

STATUS: FIXED

This issue is fixed in Monthly Channel Version 1710 (Build 8625.XXXX) or higher. To get the latest update immediately, open Excel and choose File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
