This article describes how to set up Quebec QHIP tax in Canadian Payroll for Microsoft Dynamics GP .

Note: QHIP stands for Quebec Health Insurance Plan.


Use these steps to enable QHIP tax for Quebec:

1. The QHIP tax is set up under the Employer. Click on Tools on the Microsoft Dynamics GP menu, point to Setup, point to Payroll-Canada, and click Employer.

2. Then click on the Provincial Health button.

3. Set up the QHIP percentage, debit and credit accounts as desired.

4. Set the option at the bottom for Distribute CSST Expense (Quebec) to YES.

5. Click OK and click Save.
