ISSUE
You may be unable to install the latest version of Office for Mac Home & Student 2016 from account.microsoft.com.
Note: This only happens with Office for Mac Home & Student 2016.
STATUS: WORKAROUND
Our engineering team is aware of and working on the issue. In the meantime, you can install version 15.41 first, and then update to the latest version (16.15). To do this:

Install Office for Mac Home & Student 2016 from account.microsoft.com. This will install version 15.41.

Once installed, follow the steps in Check for Office for Mac updates automatically to enable Microsoft AutoUpdate so that you can update to the latest version.
