Types of groups

Think of groups in Kaizala as just a collection of people. Groups can be visible only to you, your organization, or the public.

  • Flat group    A flat group has at least one admin and as many as 300,000 members. In a flat group, a message sent by anyone is visible to everyone else in the group. All members can view each other.

Note: A flat group can be a personal group or an organization group.

  • Broadcast group    A broadcast group has at least one admin and unlimited number of subscribers. In a broadcast group, messages or actions sent by admins are visible to all subscribers. Subscribers interact by liking, commenting, or responding to any messages or actions sent to the group. Subscribers cannot view other subscribers in the group. Responses to actions are sent only to admins, not to other subscribers.

Note: A broadcast group can be a personal group or an organization group.

  • Hierarchical group    Kaizala has the ability to interact in different group structures depending on the type of communication between members. Hierarchical groups consist of both individuals and other subgroups. Members interact by responding to actions. Actions sent in any hierarchical group will be visible to all of its subgroups.

Note: A hierarchical group can be a personal group or an organization group.
