1. In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager from the list of results.

  2. Expand Network adapters and right-click your device's network adapter. Some examples include Marvell AVASTAR adapter or Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A Wireless Network Adapter.

  3. Select Uninstall device.

  4. Select Start  > Power   > Restart .

  5. After your device restarts, select Start   > Settings   > Devices   > Bluetooth & other devices .

  6. Select Add Bluetooth or other device to connect your device and the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter.

If you still can’t connect your device to your Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter, contact us.

              Miracast® over Wi-Fi

Note: Only the Microsoft 4K Wireless Display Adapter supports Miracast® over Wi-Fi.

If you can't connect the adapter directly to your home's wireless network, check the following:

  • Your PC has Windows 10 Version 2004 or later installed. To get the latest updates for your device, select Start  Settings  Update & Security  Windows Update  Check for updates.

  • Your Wi-Fi speed is 5GHz.

  • Your network is secured with WPA, WPA2, or WPA3. Enterprise or commercial networks that require extra authentication or certificates aren't supported.

  • Your Wi-Fi router or access point is up to date.
