Issue

The Acquisition Cost is updating, but the Cost Basis is not when combining assets through the Fixed Assets Purchasing Transactions window.

Resolution

Two or more assets can be combined only when you are initially bringing them into the Fixed Assets module through the Fixed Assets Purchasing Transactions window. A second asset cannot be added to an asset that has already been brought into the Fixed Assets module such that it updates the Asset Book information. The Acquisition Cost will be updated on the Asset General Information window, but the Cost Basis on the Asset Book window will not be updated automatically.

Note - When bringing two or more assets into the Fixed Assets module through the Fixed Assets Purchasing Transactions window, you will have the option to place a checkmark in the 'M' (Marked) column for each of the assets you want to combine into the one Asset ID (entered before you clicked on the Purchase button in the Asset General Information window). You will be able to checkmark one asset in the 'P' (Primary) column - the new Asset ID will draw its primary information, used in the Asset General Information window, from this asset.
