What's new with Cortana?

Cortana is your digital assistant who can answer your questions and provide information about things you may be interested in. Here are some of the things you can do with Cortana in the latest version of Windows 10 in your market.

Chat with Cortana

When you need a diversion, you can ask Cortana to tell you a joke, sing you a song, or give you an inspirational quote. Cortana can also tell you something interesting. For more ideas, just try, “What can I ask you?”

Get definitions and quick answers

When you need to know the meaning of a word, you can just ask for Cortana for help. Try, "What's the definition of conductor?"

Cortana can also give you quick answers to questions you have. Try, "How tall is the Eiffel Tower?"

Want information about a local business? Try, “What’s the phone number of Starbucks?”

And if you need to do a quick currency conversion, just try, “Convert 1000 Euros to dollars.”

Get weather and news updates

You can also get weather information from Cortana that will help you prepare for your day. Try, “What time is sunset tonight?” or “Is it going to rain tomorrow?”

Stay up-to-date by asking Cortana for the latest news. Try, “What are the top headlines?”
