When you try to install a Microsoft FRx 6.7 service pack, you receive an error message that is similar to "Cannot find the file C:\Winnt\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1322\RegAsm.exe"

Microsoft Business Solutions-Axapta 3.0 is now part of Microsoft Dynamics AX 3.0. All references to Microsoft Business Solutions-Axapta and Microsoft Axapta pertain to Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Symptoms

When you try to install a Microsoft FRx 6.7 service pack, you receive an error message that is similar to the following:

Cannot find the file C:\Winnt\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1322\RegAsm.exe

Cause

This problem occurs because the Microsoft .NET Framework is not installed. When you install a Microsoft FRx 6.7 service pack, the installation wizard looks for the RegAsm.exe .NET Framework file. The wizard cannot find this file in the Windows folder or in the Winnt folder.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, make sure that the RegAsm.exe file is located in one of the following folders:

C:\Winnt\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322 To download the .NET Framework, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
