Put a watermark on all pages

Adding a watermark isn't currently possible in Word for the web. You can, however, add a watermark in the Word desktop app.

• To open the desktop app, at the top of the ribbon, select Editing > Open in Desktop App.
  

Don't have the Word desktop app? Try or buy Microsoft 365.

1. On the Design tab, select   Watermark.
2. Select one of the following:
   Picture: Use Select Picture to choose an image. Set the Scale and Washout.
   Text: Use drop-downs to choose Text, Font, Size, color, or Orientation. 
3. Select OK when done.
