A Microsoft Dynamics SL 7x database that is set for SQL Authentication and has existing user passwords is upgraded to Microsoft Dynamics SL 2015. The users cannot log in. In the Microsoft Dynamics SL Login (98.000) screen, they can enter their SL User ID, do a PV and select a company and then enter a password. Click OK and you receive this error:
You can go into Database Maintenance (98.290) and reset the SYSADMIN password. The SYSADMIN user can then access Microsoft Dynamics SL. However, if the SYSADMIN user opens the User Maintenance (95.260) screen, does a PV, and selects any user they receive this error:
Run this update statement against the system database:
Update UserRec set password=''
The SYSADMIN can go into the User Maintenance (95.260) screen and set the user passwords.
