No se puede actualizar un buzón si se incluyen caracteres codificados doblemente en Exchange Server 2016

Síntomas

Tenga en cuenta el siguiente escenario:

Tiene un entorno de Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 o un entorno mixto que tenga Exchange Server 2013 y Exchange Server 2016.
La actualización acumulativa 5 está instalada en Exchange Server 2016.
Tiene una directiva de dirección de correo electrónico que genera el nombre o los apellidos (%g, %s) como dirección de correo electrónico principal para los buzones. Tu directiva de dirección de correo electrónico puede ser así:

%rÅ a%råa%rÄ a%räa%rÖo%röo%g.%rÅ a%råa%rÄ a%räa%rÖo%röo%rÜ U%rüu%s@contoso.com
En el entorno de Exchange, un objeto de usuario tiene uno de los siguientes caracteres umlaut en el nombre o en el apellido:

ü, Ü, Ö, ö, Ä, ä, Å, å, ß, ÿ

En esta situación, se producen los siguientes problemas:

Recibe el siguiente mensaje de error cuando intenta actualizar un buzón mediante el comando Enable-Mailbox o Set-Mailbox:

Unhandled Exception: System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
