- Windows 8 is installed on a computer that uses an eMMC embedded storage device.
- The eMMC embedded storage device performs a NAND management activity that lasts longer that one second.
- The Windows 8 SDBUS.sys driver detects an I/O request time-out and then starts a recovery.
- The Windows 8 SDBUS.sys driver sends an abort command (CMD12) to the eMMC device.
- The embedded storage controller also sends an abort command to the eMMC device.
