What data does HealthVault Insights collect about me?

HealthVault Insights collects data that you have consented to share through Apple Health or Google Fit, like steps, calories, sleep, activities, and weight to track progress against care plans and to provide actionable insights about your health.

I’ve connected my device or app to the HealthVault Insights app but my data is not showing up or is incorrect.

If your data (such as steps and calories) from your connected device or app is not showing up in HealthVault Insights, follow the steps below:

  • If using a wearable device: Make sure the device has been synced with its companion app to upload the latest data.
  • If your device/app is connected through Apple Health: Open the Apple Health app on your iPhone and check to see if the data you are expecting to see is available there. If not, you may have to first sync your device/app data with Apple Health, or your device/app might not currently support writing that data to Apple Health.
  • If your device/app is connected through Google Fit: Sign in to your account at https://fit.google.com and check to see if the data you are expecting to see is available there. If not, you may have to first sync your device/app data with Google Fit, or your device/app might not currently support writing that data to Google Fit.
  • If the above steps are successful: From the left nav in the HealthVault Insights app, navigate to Manage Devices and make sure your Apple Health or Google Fit connections don’t have a warning icon next to them. If you see a warning icon, follow the instructions in the app to re-establish the connection or force a sync to get the latest data.
