Electronic reporting (GER) framework allows to manage data models and formats that are used to generate custom & localized electronic documents. Each GER data model or format is enclosed into a GER configuration. Such configuration can be uploaded to LCS by a configuration’s owner and downloaded from LCS by configuration’s consumers. To access LCS from GER, a repository of the LCS type should be created in advance. Created repository refers to LCS project as the storage of GER configurations.
Multiple error messages like “LCS file asset ‘…’ cannot be loaded" or “LCS file asset ‘…’ does not contain file URI” may occur when user either register a new LCS repository in GER or opens from GER an existing repository to access stored in LCS configurations. It may happen when the accessing repository contains the large number of configurations.
To work around this issue, the desired LCS repository can be accessed beyond the Dynamics 365 for Operations. The desired configurations can be exported as XML files. Exported configurations can be downloaded to the Dynamics 365 for Operations using the ‘Import from XML’ GER functionality.
The changes in the hotfix contain the code modification that improves access to GER configurations residing in LCS. This fix introduces the new GER parameter to define the desired number of parallel threads using to access GER configurations in LCS. Using this parameter, the optimal number of threads can be configured depending on the available resources of the current environment. Note that the real number of using threads will depend on the number of other tasks, their priorities, etc.
Be aware that this fix depreciates the hotfix of the earlier published KB4021043.
