Symptoms
Assume that you create a purchase invoice by creating an invoice register journal for a vendor in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1). You approve the invoice manually in the Vendor transactions dialog box. In this situation, when you match the invoice with a purchase order, you receive the following error message:
Cannot edit a record in Vendor transactions (VendTrans). The record has never been selected.
Operation canceled.
Additionally, you cannot post the invoice from the Purchase order dialog box.

Restart requirement
You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.

Validation of the application hotfix installation
To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method whose name includes the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by comparing the KBXXXXXX.txt file against the objects in the AOT. By doing this, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.
Note The XXXXXX placeholder represents the KB article number of the installed hotfix.
