This article provides the steps to make sure a new Database Logging item will be shown as expected in the Database Log Setup grid in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009.

Symptoms

You create a Database Logging item in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009. However, the newly created Database Logging item is not displayed in the Database Log Setup grid as expected.

Cause

This problem occurs because the Life Science Electronic Signature configuration key in Production Series I is disabled.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, enable the Life Science Electronic Signature configuration key. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Select Administration, expand Setup, expand System, and then select Configuration.
  2. Expand Production Series I.
  3. Select the Life Science Electronic Signature check box.
  4. Select Apply.
  5. Select OK when you are prompted to synchronize.
  6. Select OK.
