FIX: Opening balances for Fixed Assets are reported as $0.00 when you run the Depreciation Schedule report for India in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009

This article applies to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 for India.

You have fixed assets that were obtained in a previous year in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009. For example, the fixed assets were obtained in December 2011. When you run the Depreciation Schedule report for India, the opening balances for the fixed assets are reported as $0.00.

For example, this problem may occur when you run the Depreciation Schedule report that uses an opening date of 31-March-2012 and a closing date of 31-March-2013.

This problem occurs because the opening balance is calculated incorrectly by using the opening date that you provided for the Depreciation Schedule report, instead of using a null date value for the fixed asset.
