Word 2013 may crash with the PowerWord add-in installed

If you have the Powerword Collector's Edition Word Addin add-in installed, you may experience crashes in Microsoft Word 2013. 


The exact cause of this problem has not been determined. However, crashes in Word 2013 have been resolved by disabling certain versions of this add-in.


To resolve this problem, please use the following steps to disable the Powerword Collector's Edition Word Addin add-in. If the crashing problem is eliminated, we recommend you contact the vendor of the Powerword Collector's Edition Word Addin add-in (Great Worth International Limited http://www.ksoffice.net/support.htm) to inquire about an updated version of the add-in.
  1. Exit Microsoft Word 2013.
  2. Start Registry Editor.

    In Windows 8 :

    On the Desktop, press the Windows key + X and click Run . Type regedit in the Open box, and then press ENTER

    In Windows 7 and in Windows Vista :

    Click Start , type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
    If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click Allow .

    In Windows XP :

    Click Start , click Run , type regedit , and then click OK

  3. Locate and then select the following key.


  4. Right-click the LoadBehavior value and then click Modify.
  5. Change the Value data to 0, and then click OK.
  6. Close Registry Editor.
  7. Start Microsoft Word 2013.
If the crashing problem has stopped, we recommend you contact the vendor of the Powerword Collector's Edition Word Addin add-in (Great Worth International Limited) at http://www.ksoffice.net/support.htm . There may be a product update available that eliminates this incompatibility.
