NUMLOCK Setting Reset After Logging off Terminal Server

Symptoms

You modify the InitinalKeyboardIndicators value in an effort to turn the NUMLOCK key on for a particular user, but when that user logs on to the Terminal Server, the NUMLOCK key is off.

Cause

When you change the value of InitialKeyboardIndicators under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard from the default value of 0 to 2, the value is changed back to 0 when you log off.

NOTE: This behavior occurs for both Remote Administration mode and Application mode.
