For Microsoft Action Pack subscribers: Assign Technical Contact roles
The Partner Membership Center allows partners with a Microsoft Action Pack subscription to assign three (3) individuals to a Technical Contact role. Individuals with a Technical Contact role will be able to access the Visual Studio Online subscription.
Procedure
The following steps can be completed by a Global Administrator of the membership.
- Sign in to the Partner Membership Center by using the Microsoft account associated with your Microsoft Partner Network membership.
- On the Home page, click the Requirements & Assets menu and then click Associated People.
- Optional: To filter the list by individual, type information in the name and email fields.
- Select the individual to whom you want to assign the contact role, and then click Assign Roles.
- A pop-up screen will appear. Select one of the Technical Contact roles from the dropdown menu for Select Role. If you have more than one location, you can select a location from the dropdown menu for Select Location. The individual will be assigned as the Technical Contact for the selected location.
- After you complete the selection, click OK. The individual will receive an email that describes the Technical Contact role to which they have been assigned. Direct these individuals to the Program End-User Guide to learn how to activate their subscription on Visual Studio Online. Note: Allow 24 hours for permissions to replicate in Visual Studio site.
- The assigned “Individual” will access https://my.visualstudio.com to sign in
- A “Visual Studio Profile” page may be displayed (First Name, Last Name, Contact Email)
