"Failed to Register Alert" error accessing OMS workspace in OMS Mobile App


Symptom


When you access the Operations Management Suite (OMS) workspace by using the Microsoft OMS Mobile App, you receive the following error message:

Cause


The issue occurs because the account that you use to sign in doesn’t have the required permissions. For example, the account is an OMS ReadOnly User or a Log Analytics Reader or a Monitoring Reader of the Azure subscription.

Resolution


To resolve the issue, assign the Log Analytics Administrator or Log Analytics Contributor role to the user account.
